Summary:
Commodity puchasing in the Oil and Gas and Manufacturing Industries. The main commodities are pipe, bolting, gaskets, and fittings.Vendor base is established, so the buyer role would mainly be in executing purchase orders, vendor issues and interaction with Production, Material Control and occasionally Engineering. The positoin has the possibility of becoming permanent in the future based on the person’s execution of the role.

Required skills:
Must have commodity purchasing/buying experience in the Oil & Gas and/or manufacturing industries.
Must have SAP experience in converting purchase requisitions and releasing purchase orders. Company is currently going through an SAP implementation.

Job Summary

Performs other duties and special projects as needed.

Our Fort Worth, TX client is seeking an HRIS-Pension Administrator for a 9-10 month contract with the possibility of it turning into a permanent position.

General Purpose:
To provide the developer / vendor with the necessary data and system requirements for development and testing of the Pension Administration System.  To provide technical support in coordinating, monitoring and administering the activities and operations of the benefit programs (10,000 + members); including tracking active member contributions, retirees and survivor benefit payments, retirement processing, refunds and death benefits. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist with the development, testing and implementation of the Pension Administration System (PAS) and its interface systems.
Monitor and compare the retirement ordinance with administrative rules to ensure consistency in document changes and amendments.
Assist in the development and design of retirement forms and benefit statements for active, vested, and terminated employees.
Develop and maintain written documents and/or manual for HRIS system and processes.
Monitor maintenance of HRIS product; identify problems; notify appropriate staff or outside vendor and work to resolve issues and correct processes or system issues.
Perform complex benefit calculations for retiring employees, alternate payees, DROP enrollees and eligible surviving spouses and beneficiaries.
Calculate buybacks and service credit purchases.
Work with personnel from the City of Fort Worth and the clients banking institution to resolve interface conflicts.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Cross-train benefits staff on HRIS procedures and processes.
Understand and communicate the retirement fund Administrative Rules & Procedures.
Assist in running reports and statements as necessary.
Assist with IT issues as necessary.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

Job Requirements:
Must be knowledgeable in principles, theories and practices of public administration; principles, theories, concepts, practices, and terminology of governmental pension benefits; project management practices, methodologies, and techniques.
Must be knowledgeable in various information systems, hardware and software capabilities as relates to pension administration systems.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products; particularly as it relates to advanced Excel programming functions, database support tools and methods.
Must have knowledge of principles and practices of program implementation, testing and administration.
Must have a working knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws and codes.
Must have good problem solving and troubleshooting analysis skills
Must be a team player and be able to establish effective working relationships with other staff, management, the Board of Trustees, consultant and outside service providers.
Must be able to keep information confidential whenever necessary.
Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure.

Experience:
Two years of increasingly responsible human resources, employee benefits administration, pension administration, or Information Technology experi¬ence.
Experience with software testing, data analysis and reporting required.
Knowledge of pension administration or benefits preferred.
Microsoft Office software, web-based benefits, pension or human resource database systems and software.

Education:
High School Diploma supplemented by college level course work in human resources, business administration, information technology or a related field.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Undergraduate degree is preferred.

Payroll Specialist – McKinney Texas

Our McKinney, TX client is seeking a Payroll Specialist on a direct hire basis. Manages the payroll function and oversees 800 person payroll that includes overseeing the time and attendance system, payroll maintenance, payroll processing and transmitting.  This person will be the primary contact for all employee payroll related inquiries.

Scope/Responsibilities:
Balance and close out weekly payroll in regard to wages, commission, fuel and car allowance
Transmit direct deposit files, tax file and wire transfers
Process relocation/moving expenses
Reconcile the payroll to the general ledger
401k Administration, loan set up and match calculation
Garnishment maintenance: Ability to read required information to set up and correctly deduct garnishments and send information to the state agencies
Set up job codes and update workers comp codes and rate changes
Set up state unemployed tax changes
Prepare and run ad hoc reports for executives regarding census, pay, commissions, car allowance, fuel bonus earnings.
Oversee the yearend and reconciliation of payroll processes to insure that W-2’s are accurate and correct any discrepancies found.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years payroll administration experience
Some college or CPP preferred or a combination of experience and a desire or an interest in completing certification.
Multi-state and multi-site experience required.
Experience on benefits administration and conversion experience helpful
Must have Ultipro software experience and the ability to run reports and queries related to census, turnover, compensation, EEO1, new hire reporting, multiple worksite reports as well as 401k reports and benefits
Must be very proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
Very strong organizational skills and good communication skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent work history required
Must be able to handle multiple projects and responsibilities
